Maynooth University Study Abroad Staff
Maynooth University has a variety of supports and services available to students during their time here at Maynooth. Your first point of call regarding any study abroad related issues is to contact the International Office Study Abroad general email at: [email protected].

Study Abroad
If your home institution does not have an exchange partnership in place with Maynooth University you may travel here as a study abroad student.
Unless a Maynooth University student travels to your home institution in your place, you must pay tuition and other fees.
If your home institution has no formal links to Maynooth University, you may still study at Maynooth University if your home institution agrees that you can apply.

It is estimated that a budget of approximately €300 per week covers accommodation, meals and other living costs. For MU Campus Accommodation costs and details please click here.
While not always the case, generally speaking MU lecturers do not require study abroad students to buy books for their classes as most materials are availble for rent in the University Library. Individual budgets vary depending on the cost of accommodation and level of personal expenditure.
Exchange
If your home institution has an exchange partnership with Maynooth University, you may be able to study here without paying for tuition.

Students will have access to their final class schedule/timetable once the module registration process has been completed.
Students, however, can get an idea of their schedules by checking the times and dates of their specific classes on the module descriptor on Maynooth University Course Catalog.
Yes, all visiting students to Maynooth University will receive a transcript outlining the classes they took and the results they received.
At the end of the semester, Maynooth University sends an official transcript to the home institution. Transcripts will be issued directly to the Sending Agency or Home University. For Direct Enrolment students your transcript will be issued to your permanent home address.
Fall Semester: Transcripts will be issued in late February.
Full Academic Year and Spring Semester: Transcripts will be issued in early July.
Summer Semester: Transcripts will be issued by early September.
