On May 31st, from 10:00am to 11:30am , we will celebrate online the achievements of eleven Traveller Health workers who completed a Return to Learning programme in Maynooth University.
The Return to Learning programme was delivered by Maynooth University Department of Applied Social Studies partnership with MU Department of Adult and Community Education and Maynooth University Access Programme and funded by the HSE and the Eastern Region Traveller Health Unit. The programme provided a unique educational opportunity for Traveller Health Workers. Participating in and completing this programme is a significant achievement, especially as most of it took place during the Covid-19 pandemic. Eight of the participants have progressed into the Bachelor of Social Science (Community and Youth Work) part-time in-service programme at Maynooth University.
We are proud of all the participants and of the challenging and important work they have continued to do, in and with their community during the pandemic. The celebration is by invite only. Please contact [email protected] for further information or to request an invitation.
