Derbhaile Boyle (BSc Product Design graduate 2022) who designed SNAV, a waterproof earpiece alarm for sea swimmers, has been listed in the Top 5 nationally for the James Dyson Product Design Award.

SNAV is a waterproof earpiece that detects the wearer’s inner core temperature and heart rate. If either measurement becomes a concern, an alarm will notify the wearer to immediately vacate the water.

In case of distress, SNAV will send a signal to the nearest lifeguard using its built-in GSM tracking system. https://lnkd.in/eaA72sFW
