We are delighted to welcome a new group of MA participants to our MA programmes in International Development, and International Peacebuilding, Security and Development Practice for the 2024/2025 academic year. We had the pleasure of meeting most of the group at our orientation day held on Monday 29th September 2024. As always, the group represents a diverse global community; this year including participants from Europe, Asia, Africa and the US. We look forward to engaging with, and learning from, such varied and rich experiences and perspectives as always. The group includes several scholarship recipients, including Irish Aid fellows, Government of Ireland scholars, Sanctuary scholars and for the first time, the Dr. Sinead McGrath Memorial scholar. The latter scholarship was set up in memory of our esteemed colleague Dr. Sinead McGrath, an inspirational teacher, researcher and activist who was deeply committed to peace, justice and human rights.
We are looking forward to another academic year with wonderful new members of the MU Dept. of International Development community.
