Social Justice week success - 'Burning Under the Burqa: Solidarity with Afghan Women and LGBQT+' 

MU Department of International Development held a successful and engaging event; 'Burning Under the Burqa: Solidarity with Afghan Women and LGBQT+', yesterday afternoon (3rd March) as part of MU Social Justice Week 2025. MU DID wish to congratulate all invloved on an engaging and sucessful event. Organisers and panelists included Basira Paigham, Latifa Jawadi, Mahbooba Faiza, Haya Sediqi, Eilish Dillon, Marma Zamir and Tran Thi Nhan Duyen.

The event was well attended and was a great event of discussion, dance and poetry. Speakers called on participants to support and spread awareness of a global campaign End Gender Apartheid.
