The Forum on Education Abroad
To kick off their travels, Denise and Michaela attended The Forum on Education Abroad’s Annual Conference hosted in Toronto, Canada from March 19 – 21, 2025. The conference brought together 1,200+ international educators from around the world to discuss global trends and important topics, learn from workshops hosted by colleagues and develop new partnerships.
With the support of Education in Ireland, Maynooth University hosted a booth in the exhibit hall to showcase the university’s offerings, meet up with current partners to discuss ongoing and future collaborations and build new potential partnerships with institutions from around the world. In addition, Denise and Michaela had some very productive discussions with partners seeking a destination for Faculty Led Programs (FLP's)- Maynooth is perfectly positioned to offer year-round FLP's.
While in Toronto Denise & Michaela took the opportunity to visit University of Toronto who have been visitors to MU in the past. They enjoyed a wonderful campus tour in the spring sunshine with a member of the academic team from St. Michael College of University of Toronto.

Study in Ireland
Following the Forum conference, Denise and Michaela traveled down to New York to attend the Study in Ireland tour with Education in Ireland from March 24 – March 26. With over 10 Irish universities present, attendees had the opportunity to learn about Maynooth University’s academic offerings and life on campus.
The Education in Ireland three-day event kicked off with a counselor reception at the Ireland House in New York City. This evening included an alumni panel, remarks by the Vice Consul General, Gareth Hargadon, and networking with high school counselors from schools throughout the city.
The following fairs hosted in Westport, Connecticut and New York City, each welcomed over 200 attendees, which included prospective students, parents and counselors seeking undergraduate, post-graduate and study abroad opportunities.
