We are pleased to share an important update on the Student Building Extension Project, a joint initiative between Maynooth University and Maynooth Students Union (MSU).
After careful planning and collaboration, we are happy to announce that MOLA Architecture has been appointed as the architect for the project. This development will involve a deep retrofit of the existing Student Building and a large extension that will double its size, providing additional facilities to support student life on campus.
The project will also align with the University’s Climate Action Roadmap, incorporating decarbonisation efforts and green technologies to improve the building’s sustainability and operational efficiency.
Estates has worked closely with MSU, MU Clubs and Societies, and the Vice-President for Students and Learning to ensure that this project meets the needs of our students. This project is funded through the Student Levy.
We are excited to see it move forward and will continue to keep you updated as MOLA Architecture begins the design process and engages with key stakeholders.
