Biography

Biography

John Dooley (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland, in 2008. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering, National University of Ireland, Maynooth. He is also a Principal Investigator on a prestigious Science Foundation of Ireland (SFI) Frontiers for the Future research grant on 6G, called ORCHESTRA-6G. He is also an extremely active Funded Investigator in SFI CONNECT Centre for Telecommunications and SFI ADVANCE Centre for Research Training. His research interests include digital signal processing, spectrally efficient modulation schemes and applications to high frequency circuits. His work has had a major impact in power efficiency optimization for wireless communications devices and networks, and digital compensation techniques for mmWave terrestrial and satellite communication systems.(17 November 2020).
