Student MyCard

MyCard is the Maynooth Campus Student ID card issued to all students once they have fully registered for their course.

MyCard is a course long card and should last for the duration of your course at Maynooth
Students should have their MyCard with them at all times when on campus
MyCard remains the property of the University
Your MyCard should be produced when requested by any University official or staff member
Please do not punch a hole or damage your MyCard as this can interfere with its imbedded 'smart card' chip
If your fees are not in order when you register your MyCard will be inactive and you will not have access to the library and you will not be permitted to obtain letters or have any forms stamped.

How to replace your Student MyCard

To request a replacement MyCard, please email mycard.student@mu.ie and we will post your student card to your postal address.

There is a €20 charge for replacing a lost please pay this fee throught the online shop
If you lose your MyCard, you should use 'Block MyCard' under the MyCard Manager and follow the instructions
If a lost MyCard is subsequently found, a €5 charge may be applied to unblock your card
Please do not punch a hole or damage your MyCard as this can interfere with its imbedded 'smart card' chip

MyCard Electronic Purse

As communicated in April 2023, and as part of improvements to the University Card Management System, the electronic purse function will be removed from MyCard at the end of the current semester (Summer 2023).

From 1st June 2023 your MyCard may no longer be used to make payments on campus.

Staff and students are strongly encouraged to fully use their existing MyCard balance before 31st May 2023.

Depending on the volume, refunds may take a number of weeks to be processed.
