A consumption cycle consists of three stages: acquisition, usage (or consumption), and disposition. In this presentation, Dr. Elnahla will share her ongoing research on the stage of disposition. She will discuss the nature and meaning of the attachments people form to objects that they designate as cherished, special, and/or favourite, and how the nonvoluntary loss of those emotionally charged possessions can lead to disposal regret, specifically in the context of immigration.
