Dr Brendan Keegan, MU School of Business, recently presented research findings at "Drammen before, now and in the future", a roundtable event in Drammen, Norway.
The presentations showcased insights from the NetZeroCities EU project, examining place-making and sustainable urban development in Drammen. The event attracted diverse stakeholders including municipal representatives, community organizations, engaged residents, and visitors from surrounding areas.
Organized in collaboration with the Centre for Health and Technology and HelseHub at the University of South-Eastern Norway, the session generated lively discussion about the temporal nature of urban development and the role of nature-based solutions in creating sustainable cities.
Participants provided valuable feedback and engaged with the research through questions and contributions, creating a meaningful knowledge exchange between academia and community. The event highlighted the practical applications of our faculty's research in supporting evidence-based urban planning and citizen engagement initiatives.
