Join us on December 9 for this online event focused on two panels.
The first panel, Theoretical debates – needs, capabilities, and eco-social policy, will be chaired by Dr Pauline Cullen (Sociology Department, Maynooth University) and will include short inputs by Professor Max Koch (Lund University), Professor Ian Gough (London School of Economics & Political Science), and Professor Jean-Michel Bonvin and Dr Francesco Laruffa (both University of Geneva), all of whom have authored papers in the Sustainable Welfare issue.
The second panel, Practical advances – universal basic services, income supports, and post-growth work, will be chaired by Professor Peadar Kirby (University of Limerick/Cloghjordan Eco-Village) and will include short inputs by Anna Coote (New Economics Foundation), Professor Fiona Dukelow (University College Cork), and Dr Michael McGann (Maynooth University and soon to be Melbourne University), all of whom have authored papers in the Sustainable Welfare issue.
The event will provide a relatively informal opportunity for reflection and debate, and it is hoped that the short inputs will stimulate a lively panel exchange and prompt audience participation.
