The School of Law and Criminology and the Maynooth Access Programme are delighted to announce that the Pathways to the Legal Profession Summer Internship Programme 2024 is now open for applications! This summer internship programme is supported by Matheson Law Firm, and the Association of Criminal Justice Research Development (ACJRD). The programme will support two MAP students to access paid summer internships in the legal profession.
For 2023/2024, the internships will be open to final year undergraduates studying Law or Criminology, who have entered university through pathways supported by the Maynooth University Access Programme. There are two paid internships available, which will commence in June 2024:
- One 4-week internship with Matheson Law Firm.
- One 4-week internship with the Association of Criminal Justice Research Development (ACJRD).
In addition to the paid internship, successful students will receive a small stipend from the Student Assistance Fund. 121 eligible MAP students have been invited to apply to the programme, which launched on the 17th of April, and closes at 5pm on the 30th April.
Eligible students are encouraged to make an appointment using the MAP Advisor Calendars | Maynooth University and chat to their MAP Advisor,or attend the MAP Advisory Service drop-in sessions from 12-2pm daily (Monday to Friday) in MAP Lodge. Students may submit their application using the online application form by 5pm on the 30th April 2024.
