Katriona O'Sullivan, ALL Member: New PATH Funded Project

Dr. Katriona O'Sullivan recently joined Maynooth University and is working with the 'turn to teaching' partners which include Maynooth's Department of Adult and Community Education, the Department of Education, Froebel and the Maynooth Access Programme. Her project aims to increase diversity in initial teacher education in Ireland by offering a year-long preparation course to the most marginalised groups.

The Programme for Access to Third Level (PATH) fund was established in 2017 following the launch of the National Access Plan by the Department of Education and Skills (DES) This Fund comprises dedicated funding to support access to higher education, which is allocated on a competitive basis to higher education institutions to support particular priority areas as determined by the DES.
