Moodle will be upgraded to Moodle 3.9 on Tuesday January 26th. The upgrade to Moodle 3.9 introduces some significant improvements and exciting new features including
- The Dashboard will include a new Course Overview and Timeline block with improved functionality for organising courses and assessment/activity deadlines.
- The Activity Chooser menu has an improved interface and enables you to bookmark frequently used activities, so you can access them more quickly.
- H5P will be fully integrated in Moodle enabling users to connect H5P activities to the Gradebook and create H5P activities in a new searchable content bank.
- Forums will include improved forum grading functionality and a user participation summary report.
- The Atto editor has been improved to support users in creating more accessible content.
Moodle 3.9 Essentials Webinars
The Moodle Support team will be facilitating webinars over the next few weeks to introduce staff to the new features and functionality.

Important: To facilitate the upgrade, Moodle will be unavailable to all users from 6:00 until 21:00 on Tuesday January 26th 2021. From 21:00 on Tuesday 26th until 14:00 Wednesday 27th, Moodle should still be considered at risk. Please avoid scheduling any Moodle activities/assignments during these times.
