Lorraine Byrne Bodley is lecturing at the LA Philharmonic Orchestra series, Schubert’s Symphonies and Mahler’s Songs. conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, and signing copies of her books, Schubert’s Late Music: History, Theory, Style (Cambridge University Press, 2016) and Rethinking Schubert (Oxford University Press, 2016). The series presents all of Schubert’s symphonies composed between 1813, when he was just 16 years old, and 1825, when he composed his ‘Great’ C major symphony.
