Ben Finnegan
Ben Finnegan is the Arqus European University Alliance Project Manager at Maynooth University. He leads the oversight and development of the University’s participation in the European University Alliance. Ben has been a member of staff within the International Office at Maynooth University since 2018.
Ben took up the post of Arqus Project Manager in January 2024 having previoulsy managed the University's International Short-Term Study Abroad programmes and global partnerships. Prior to arriving at Maynooth in 2018, Ben worked at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick City where he acted as International Relations Executive, deputising to the Director of International Engagement. During his time at Mary Immaculate College Ben was appointed as Chairperson to the Board of Directors of the Irish Council for Overseas Students and also secured Mary Immaculate College's first award in the Irish Education Awards for 'Best International Achievement'.
Ben is a proud alum of Maynooth University having completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Maynooth and studied abroad in the University of Salamanca as an Erasmus student in 2011/12. In 2013 he was elected as Student Union President of Maynooth University, a post he served for two years. In addition to completing a higher diploma in Digital Marketing Ben has an undergraduate BA International degree in Business and Spanish and a postgradaute Masters degree in International Business.
