Biography

Biography

Dr. Michael Daly is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, Maynooth University. He previously held Fulbright and Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellowships at Florida State University and the University of Aberdeen respectively and lecturer positions at the University of Manchester and University of Stirling. He has a longstanding research interest in the relationship between social circumstances, resilience, and population mental health and well-being. His research has been funded by several bodies including the EU Commission, the Economic and Social Research Council (UK), the National Institute for Health Research (UK), Skills Development Scotland, and the Irish Research Council.

He has published over 100 research articles and has held editor roles at the British Journal of Health Psychology, Cogent Psychology, and Collabra Psychology. He was the recipient of the 2023 Maynooth University Advanced Research Achievement Award for the Faculty of Science and Engineering. In 2023, he was included on the Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers list.
