Dr Julie Rodgers awarded prestigious Flaherty Scholarship
Dr Julie Rodgers, French Studies, SMLLC has been awarded a prestigious Flaherty scholarship for her research on Indigenous Quebec Women Writers. The award will facilitate a research trip to Quebec where Dr Rodgers will be hosted by the Université de Sherbrooke.

Maynooth students' success in intervarsity French debating competition
Two teams of Final Year students from French Studies at Maynooth University competed at the intervarsity French debate competition. The annual event is organised and sponsored by the French Embassy in Ireland and was held at Queen's University, Belfast.

Citizens' Dialogue on the Future of Europe
Helen McEntee TD, Minister for European Affairs and Nathalie Loiseau, Minister for European Affairs for France, attended Maynooth University today, as part of Minister McEntee’s Citizens to Citizens' Dialogue on the Future of Europe, engaging with more than 300 students and staff in a packed Iontas lecture theatre.
