    Registration for optional modules (Year 2 & Final Year) 2024 -2025

    Registration for optional modules in German will take place 9 - 13 September 2024.

    Introductory Meetings for ALL students of German 

    At the beginning of term, ALL students of German will have an introductory meeting with their Year Coordinator. Attendance at this meeting is compulsory.
    At this meeting, you will receive important information on:

    • the structure and content of the course and modules;
    • the timetable for classes;
    • the organisation of language groups according to level;
    • how to register for tutorials;
    • an introduction to procedure for the coming year.

    First Year 

    Year Coordinator: Dr Jeff Morrison
    The first meeting with Dr Morrison will take place on Monday 23 September 2024 at 2pm  
    in JHL5 John Hume Building, north campus.

    Please note: attendance at this Introductory Meeting is essential, as vital information will be given about the structure, organisation, and content of courses.
    NB: Erasmus students intending to register for GN151/GN152/GN181/GN182 should attend the First Year Introductory Meeting.
    If you miss the Introductory Meeting, it is VITAL that you get in contact with the Year Coordinator as soon as possible after the meeting!

    Second Year

    Year Coordinators: Ms Astrid Schumenjak & Dr Linda Shortt

    The first meeting with Ms Schumenjak & Dr Shortt will take place on Tuesday 24 September 2024 at 9.00 am. 
    in HB Arts Building, north campus.

    Attendance at this Introductory Meeting is essential, as vital information will be given about the structure, organisation, and content of courses.
    NB: Erasmus students registering for GN281/GN211B/GN218A/GN213A/ML220/GN282/GN221B/GN223A/GN247 should attend the Second Year Introductory Meeting.
    If you miss the Introductory Meeting, it is VITAL that you get in contact with the Year Coordinator as soon as possible after the meeting!

    Final Year

    Year Coordinator: Dr Cordula Böcking

    The first meeting with Dr Böcking will take place on Monday 23 September 2024 at 10.00 am. 
    in TSI036,  TSI Building, north campus.

    Attendance at this Introductory Meeting is essential, as vital information will be given about the structure, organisation, and content of courses.
    NB: Erasmus students registering for GN381/GN311B/GN319A/GN330/GN382/GN321B/GN327A/GN329A should attend the Final Year Introductory Meeting.
    If you miss the Introductory Meeting, it is VITAL that you get in contact with the Year Coordinator as soon as possible after the meeting!
