Tuesday, December 4, 2018 - 14:00 to 17:00
Russell Library

Come and join us in the Russell Library to learn how to bind a book from our collection. As part of Library Ireland Week, conservation staff are holding a workshop where you will be able to produce a decorated paper binding. Open to bookbinding beginners, this introductory session will include sewing sections onto recessed cords, making a case binding and pasting down end-pages. The book you will be replicating the binding of is  Epitome Controversiarum by R.P. Guilielmo Baile, printed in 1739.
Reserve your place here by Friday 30th November. Places are limited.
