If you are a postgraduate researcher or a academic staff member you can arrange for a consultation in the Library or a visit in your own office with the Research support Librarian.
You could also organise group training sessions for yourself and your colleagues.

The Research Support Librarian can provide assistance in a number of areas including:

  • Providing a introduction to the library's information services and databases within your field of research
  • Advise on conducting your Literature Review or how to develop more effective search strategies
  • Using reference management tools (EndNote, Zotero, Mendeley) that allow you to store your references online and create bibliographies and in-text citations.
  • Training can be provided in the use of Bibliometrics which includes: citation analysis/tracking, finding the top journals in your research area, measuring your research impact, or identifying current and potential research collaborations
  • Tips on improving your Research visibility
  • Check out the Research Librarian blog has a number of links to various useful online resources to help your research such as online research skills tutorials, search engines and search tools, academic peer networks, open access resources,online reference management tools and tutorials.
