Monday, December 12, 2016 - 10:30

Senior Lecturer at the School of Business, Dr Paul Donovan, has recently published, in book chapter format, an account of a comprehensive case study in transfer and evaluation of training. The case study is based in ICON, a global clinical research organisation, based in Leopardstown, Dublin. The initiative employed Dr Donovan’s ground breaking research into the transfer of training and utilised his unique inventory to measure transfer of learning at ICON. The inventory, called STAR, has been supported with €300,000 funding from Enterprise Ireland.

The chapter is entitled ‘Finding the Critical Few: The Hot Buttons of Training Transfer at ICON – A Case Study in Evaluation and Learning Transfer at a Global CRO (Clinical Research Organization)’ and appears in Training Initiatives and Strategies for the Modern Workforce, by Scott Frasard (Frasard Consulting, USA) and Frederick Carl Prasuhn (Tech-Wise Educational Services, LLC., USA).
