The Programme Design and Validation in Further Education (PDV) postgraduate one-year level 9 certificate blended learning course addresses the needs of Further Education and Training (FET) staff who are tasked with the redesign of existing or new programmes including traineeship and apprenticeship programmes. The class has met five times on MU Teams since their start in September 2021.
On October 22nd the class will meet in the Education Hub Maynooth University North Campus. They will be welcomed by Dr. Mary Ryan, Head of the Department of Adult and Community Education (DACE), and attend a morning class on reflective practice delivered by Dr. David McCormack, DACE. The remainder of the day will be peer facilitated presentations on programme design led by Jenny Whelan and Mary Sheehy of the Further Education Support Service (FESS), and Denise Shannon and Michael Kenny, Department of Adult and Community (DACE).
