We invite all students leaving on-campus accommodation to join MGC to help reduce waste at MU!
The Reuse Pop-up Centre is an initiative focused on saving useful household items and circulating them among new incoming students so they can save money. While we encourage students to bring what they can home, we understand that it is not always possible. What students can’t get home should be dropped off at the centre to help us build on our fundamental premise of circular economy.
The Reuse Pop-up Centre will OPEN at the Courtyard Apartments Plaza (storage area opposite Cedar Block)

The items that we accept. All must be clean, dry and in good condition
- Linens, towels and duvets
- Crockery – mugs, cutlery, plates, etc.
- Pots & pans, kitchen utensils, etc.
- Decorations
- Stationery
- Bathroom ware
- Clothes
In September 2024, we will re-open the centre for incoming students who will benefit from those items free of charge. The surplus will be donated to local charities.
