M.LITT IN FRENCH STUDIESA Research Degree Tailored to You As part of the programme, students join a vibrant postgraduate research culture, participate in seminars and reading groups, and benefit from a structured plan of academic development. This includes guidance in academic writing, opportunities to present at conferences, and tailored training in research methods and professional skills. While the focus is on the production of a substantial dissertation, the MLitt is also a space to grow intellectually, collaborate with peers, and gain the analytical, organisational, and communication skills that underpin both academic and non-academic careers. The MLitt is also highly flexible, with no taught classes, making it an ideal option for those looking to deepen their research independently while balancing other professional or personal commitments.
We welcome both traditional literary research and interdisciplinary approaches that engage with new methodologies and global perspectives. A Pathway to the Future
