A number of prestigious university rankings together confirm the research and teaching strengths of Maynooth University.
The University is ranked in the top 400 universities in the Times Higher Education rankings, and is the highest ranked young university in Ireland in the Times Higher Education “Top 100 under 50” rankings, placed 74th, confirming its place among the next generation of leading universities.
The recently released QS World University Rankings by Subject for 2014 confirms the outstanding strengths of Maynooth University in the humanities and social sciences including high rankings for the disciplines of English Literature and Geography.

Maynooth University has also achieved the highest ranking among the universities in Ireland in the latest International Student Barometer Survey in which it was ranked first in Ireland and third in the world in an international survey involving over 209,000 international students from 238 universities in 16 countries. The distinctive attractions and opportunities for international students provided by Maynooth University are also confirmed by our inclusion as the first university outside of North America in the Princeton Review.
