Minitab (version 16) Statistics Software and SPSS Statistics (Version 20) are both available on Public Access Compter Room (PACR) computers (including the computers in the Library) in the "All Programmes" section on the computers.
Software packages, such as SPSS and Minitab are also available for teaching purposes. To have them added to computers contact the Computer Centre.

All Island Research Observatory (AIRO)
This provides users with data and maps about numerous important issues in Ireland. Users will have access to data and maps from multiple government agencies in Ireland and many indicators, also indicators integrating north and south Ireland.
The All-Island Research Observatory (AIRO) is a research unit and spatial data portal focused on improving evidence informed planning in Ireland. AIRO collects, analyses and provides evidence and tools to support better planning and decision making. The key strengths behind the AIRO team are mapping, data analytics and visualisation, policy advice, research and training.
AIRO actively works to maximise the usage and benefit of publicly funded and readily available datasets in Ireland as well as highlighting the benefits of proper collection, management and dissemination of datasets across different organisations.
Data.gov.ie
The departments of the Government and other public sector bodies are releasing public data to help people understand how government works, how decisions are made, and what we know about the country and society. The data.gov.ie pilot portal brings these datasets together in a single searchable website.
Dublin Dashboard
Provides citizens, public sector workers and companies with real-time information, time-series indicator data, and interactive maps about all aspects of the city. It enables users to gain detailed, up to date intelligence about the city that aids everyday decision making and fosters evidence-informed analysis.
Irish Qualitative Data Archive (IQDA)
Is a social science archive of research in Ireland. This is perfect for students and faculty who might be looking for a place to deposit their findings, or to search for qualitative data that may inform their work.
The Irish Qualitative Data Archive (IQDA) is a central access point for qualitative social science data generated in or about Ireland. The archive frames the parameters and standards for archiving qualitative data within the Irish research community. The IQDA is a participant in the Digital Repository of Ireland and is currently part of the DASISH Infrastructure project.
Irish Social Science Data Archive(ISSDA)
The Irish Social Science Data Archive (ISSDA) is Ireland’s leading centre for quantitative data acquisition, preservation, and dissemination. Based at UCD Library, its mission is to ensure wide access to quantitative datasets in the social sciences, and to advance the promotion of international comparative studies of the Irish economy and Irish society.
The International Centre for Local and Regional Development (ICLRD)
The International Centre for Local and Regional Development (ICLRD) is a North-South-US partnership programme created to explore and expand the contribution that planning and the development of physical, social and economic infrastructures can make to improving the lives of people in both Irish jurisdictions – particularly those in divided and disadvantaged areas – and thus to peace-building and reconciliation on the island.
The ICLRD provides independent research, planning analysis and a range of international experience to assist policy makers, practitioners, local officials and community groups in promoting good local and regional planning as part of the process of conflict resolution and in achieving greater social and economic cohesion.
The Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI)
Includes the work of a number of Maynooth University research institutions. While the repository is not yet live, the DRI has produced a number of excellent reports.These are listed here.

European Observation Network for Territorial Development and Cohesion (ESPON)
Provides users with a rich array of All Island and EU indicators and data from the following databases.

The mission of the ESPON 2013 Programme is to:
“Support policy development in relation to the aim of territorial cohesion and a harmonious development of the European territory by (1) providing comparable information, evidence, analyses and scenarios on territorial dynamics and (2) revealing territorial capital and potentials for development of regions and larger territories contributing to European competitiveness, territorial cooperation and a sustainable and balanced development”.
