Dr. Michael James Boland from the School of Law and Criminology delivered a paper at the Annual Conference of the Irish Academy of Management which took place at Munster Technological University on the 28th and 29th of August.

The Conference showcased research on a wide range of business-related issues including the changing face of work, corporate culture and regulation, sustainability, and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Boland's paper critically considered the Norwich Pharmacal Order and how it can be employed by business in cases of fraud, defamation, intellectual property theft, amongst others.

In cases where the wrongdoer is unknown to the injured party, the Norwich Pharmacal Order obliges a third-party with details concerning the identity of the wrongdoer to disclose that information to the injured party so that legal proceedings can be brought against the wrongdoer.

Maynooth University will host the 2025 Annual Conference of the Irish Academy of Management details of which will be issued in due course.
