Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery: Change in Ireland in its European Context

On 14 June the School of Law and Criminology, in collaboration with the Department of Applied Social Studies and Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute (MUSSI), hosted a hybrid international event addressing Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery: Change in Ireland in its European context. This event was coordinated jointly by Dr Niamh Flanagan (Associate Professor in Applied Social Studies), Dr Clíodhna Murphy (Associate Professor in Law), and Dr Rhiannon Bandiera (Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Criminology).

On 12 July 2024, the Research Centre in International Justice and Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute at Maynooth University, hosted workshop on ‘The Contribution of the United Nations War Crimes Commission to International Criminal Law. This event was to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the United Nations War Crimes Commission (UNWCC).

July 2024, the Maynooth University School of Law and Criminology’s Research Centre in International Justice hosted a symposium entitled 'The Situation in Palestine: Emerging Domestic and International Jurisprudence'. This hybrid and international event was jointly hosted by Maynooth University School of Law and Criminology’s Research Centre in International Justice (RCIJ) and Northumbria University Law School’s Centre for Evidence & Criminal Justice Studies.
