Massive congratulations to School of Business Lecturer, Dr Edward O’Connor who recently graduated with a PhD in Business. Supervised by Dr Marian Crowley-Henry, Eddie’s thesis is entitled ‘Skilled Migrants’ International Careers: An Exploratory Study of the Careers and Capital of Skilled Migrant Workers in Ireland’.
Eddie was a mature undergraduate student on the BBS Business Management single honours programme and was a SPUR student awardee during that time. During his PhD, he was a Hume awardee and an IRC awardee. He is a regular presenter at national and international conferences. He has published his work in reputable, international, peer-reviewed journals: the Journal of Business Ethics, European Management Review, with a recent Accept from Human Relations. He is the MAP advisor for the School of Business and plays an active role in student engagement and mentoring. He lectures in ‘Strategic Human Resource Management’ and ‘International Human Resource Management’.
