On 18 October 2023, Dr Amina Adanan presented her research at a conference in The Hague to commemorate 80 years of the United Nations War Crimes Commission. Dr Adanan’s presented on ‘The UNWCC and its (forgotten?) Institutional Legacy’, focusing on the institutional structure of the UNWCC and its operation and the organisation as an early example of positive complementarity.
The conference was organised by The Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies, together with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in The Hague, Pilecki Institute Warsaw, SOAS University of London, and University of Warsaw. It took place in Leiden University campus in The Hague.

Dr Amina Adanan is a Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in Law in the School of Law and Criminology and Co-Director of the Research Centre for International Justice. She lectures in International Criminal Law on the postgraduate courses in Maynooth University.
