Dr Orla Kelleher, assistant professor in the School of Law and Criminology, who researches in the areas of climate, environmental and human rights law, published an article in RECIEL on the 20 January entitled, Litigating the Fit for 55 Package: Statutory and rights-based challenges to national energy and climate plans as a means of implementing and/or enhancing the ambition of the EU's Fit for 55 Package.

It explore how the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights could serve as a powerful tool for addressing climate harms, particularly in light of the landmark Klimaseniorinnen v Switzerland ruling.
