Professor Terence Dooley, Head of the History Department and Director of the Centre for the Study of Historic Irish Houses and Estates, was honoured to be received by President Michael D. Higgins at Áras an Uachtaráin last week. Professor Dooley presented the President with a copy of his book 'Burning the Big House: the Story of the Irish Country House in Time of War and Revolution'.
Professor Dooley's book is available at all good book stores nationwide or online at Yale Books.
