On 22 March 2025, Professor Rebecca King O'Riain, Maynooth University Sociology Department, attended the book launch of “Equity in the Workplace: Stories of Black Irish Women in Academia and the Teaching Profession, for which she wrote a chapter.
This book is a collaborative effort to amplify the voices of Black and African Irish women in academia and the teaching profession in Ireland. It explores their experiences, challenges, and perspectives on achieving fair treatment and equity in the workplace.
