The Quality Office of Maynooth University was established in 1996 and is located within the portfolio of the Vice President Academic, Registrar and Deputy President.
The Office offers an integrated service assisting staff in a range of activities related to both quality assurance and quality improvement. It facilitates departments, schools, institutes, centres, offices and units in the development of their quality assurance procedures and practices, and supports those undertaking Quality Review.
It works closely with the Quality Committee, the University Committee charged with responsibility for quality in all aspects of the work of the University. It cooperates fully with Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) in its activities, particularly in the conduct of institutional reviews.

Cuireann an Oifig seirbhís chomhtháite ar fáil chun cuidiú leis an bhfoireann i ngníomhaíochtaí éagsúla a bhaineann le dearbhú cáilíochta agus le feabhsú na cáilíochta araon. Éascaíonn sé ranna, scoileanna, institiúid, lárionaid, oifigí agus aonaid ó thaobh nósanna imeachta agus cleachtais um dhearbhú cailíochta a fhorbairt, agus tacaíonn leo siúd atá ag dul faoi Athbhreithniú ar Cháilíocht.
Oibríonn sí go dlúth le Fo-Choiste Chothú na Cáilíochta, arb é sin an coiste ollscoile ar a bhfuil cúram maidir le cáilíocht i ngach gné d'obair na hOllscoile. Comhoibríonn sé go hiomlán le Bord Cáilíochta Ollscoileanna na hÉireann ina ghníomhaíochtaí, go háirithe maidir le seoladh athbhreithnithe institiúideacha.
