Language Exemptions
Maynooth University along with many other universities have language general entry/matriculation requirements. Before applying for any course it is important to check the minimum entry requirements on the website. If you do not meet these requirements and you believe you may be entitled to an exemption, you should make an application to the NUI (National University of Ireland) without delay. Typically, it takes 2-3 weeks (approximately) for Exemption Application Forms to be processed by NUI, but it may be longer. Applicants should review their CAO account to ensure it accurately reflects the exemptions required.
Please note that this is an exemption from minimum entry requirements only. Where a course has a specific requirement for a certain grade in Irish, for example, MH001 BEd Bachelor of Education - Froebel Primary Teaching, an NUI exemption will not meet this requirement.
