On Thursday 26th September 2024, the Vicky Phelan Campaign & Triptych Portrait Tour will come to Maynooth University. This powerful event organised by Maynooth University in collaboration with the Little Way Cancer Support Centre and Vicky’s friends and family will recount Vicky courageous fight to protect the health of Irish women, and help to continue her legacy of creating awareness and change.
The Triptych Portrait Tour Campaign has being travelling across Ireland since 2021. This is the first time it will be exhibited in Co. Kildare.
The evening will feature inspiring speakers and a thought-provoking panel discussion on topics related to Vicky’s campaign and her enduring legacy of raising awareness and advocating for change to improve women’s health outcomes. There will be members of Vicky’s campaign group, family and friends. These include David Brennan, Portrait Owner, Cian O’Carroll, Solicitor, John Wall, Men’s Health Advocate, members from the 221 Group, GP Dr. Monica Peres and Clinical Director of the Maynooth University Student Health Centre, Dr. Robert Scully. Attendees will also have an opportunity to view Vicky’s infamous portrait at the event.
This event is open to the public and is an opportunity for the Kildare community to remember Vicky Phelan’s extraordinary work, encourage people to look after themselves and continue her mission to create lasting change.
