Careers Queries and Appointments
You can meet with a careers advisesr to discuss any of your career related questions. Whether you are starting out and have no idea what you'd like to do or you have a clear idea of your next step, or you are somewhere in between and want to get some more information on your options. Appointments can be In-Person or on Teams. We're very happy to talk to students and we really advise you to come talk to us early in your MU journey (first year isn't too early!) so we can help point you in the direction of the information and supports that will enable you to make the most of your time at MU. Upskill Queries and Appointments
If you would like to find out more about any of the UpSkill programmes (SPUR/MUSE/Mentoring/Micro Internships etc.) book an appointment with the team through the Careers Connect portal and have your questions answered.
Placement Queries and Appointments
Placement consultation appointments can be used to discuss your placement related questions, such as placement planning, CV review, job application, prepare for interview, and queries while on placement. If your MU course is on the list below, you can meet with a placement adviser to discuss your queries. Send us a query or book an appointment on the Placement Connect portal. Placements we advise on:
Placements in the following subjects are managed by the individual academic departments: Biology, Education (Early Childhood, Primary, Post Primary), Legal Placements – School of Law & Criminology, Psychology, Youth & Community Work, Social Work.
Careers Connect is part of MU FutureConnect - your Student Skills and Success portal, and is your one stop shop to engage with the Careers Service. On Careers Connect you can ask questions and/or book meetings with careers advisers and view UpSkill Opportunities and search our Jobs and Events Listings. You can also set email alerts for jobs and events.
