The Irish Association for Asian Studies (IAAS) was formed on May 21st 2015 at a special workshop at the IMI in Dublin, organised by Dr Kevin Cawley (Director of the Irish Institute of Korean Studies) from the School of Asian Studies, UCC.

HSK Results and Scholarship awarded
Five students from 2nd Year Chinese Studies took the HSK Chinese Proficiency Test 汉语水平考试 on 28 March 2015. They all passed the test and were awarded Level Three certificates. Congratulations to all students who participated.

On 14th November 2014 staff and students of Chinese Studies visited the Ambassador Theatre in Dublin to view the Terracotta Warrior exhibition.

Minister for Education and Skills opens 3U China Office
The Minister for Education and Skills, Ms Jan O’Sullivan T.D., officially opened 3U Partnership’s China Office in Beijing’s award winning Galaxy SOHO urban complex on Sunday 26 October 2014. The event coincides with the Education in Ireland mission to China, organised by Enterprise Ireland and led by Minister O’Sullivan.
