The Geography community at Maynooth wishes Dr Martin Charlton a retirement replete with joyous reflection upon a career in which he has crafted some of the most significant scholarship in the field of Geocomputation and during which he has sustained collaborative research at Maynooth to the extent that his absence is almost unimaginable. The scores of classes in which he has patiently explained spatial data analysis to successive cohorts of students sustained the intellectual quality of geographical research not only at Maynooth but more broadly across our island.
We hope we see lots of you in the future but for now — Gan canny man.
