The Irish Times of Sunday 8 April 2018 tells us: 'Prof Thorne has been appointed “co-ordinating lead author” to the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, reports from which have been the key scientific influence on the global response to human-induced global warming over the past 30 years.'
