A Traveller's Map of Coolock: Storied Places of Belonging and Unbelonging

On Saturday 17 September 2022, Pavee Point Director Martin Collins and Maynooth Geographers Prof Gerry Kearns and Sophie Thiesen (PhD candidate), present collaborative research in progress at the national Travellers' conference 'Irish Travellers / Mincéirs and the State, 1922-2022' at NUI Galway. The presentation 'A Traveller's Map of Coolock: Storied Places of Belonging and Unbelonging', will highlight outcomes of the 'Coolock Travellers' Community Mapping Project' (2020-2022), a collaborative project with Pavee Point, TravAct and Maynooth Geography staff and student researchers.
