This prestigious programme aims to empower outstanding undergraduate students participating in the Maynooth Access Programme by offering a comprehensive package of support. Recipients will receive financial assistance, mentorship, and professional opportunities, including a paid summer internship and access to the firm's esteemed Law Start Programme.
The 2024 recipients are:

  • Mr Shane Ryan: Awarded the A&L Goodbody Scholarship in Law, which includes full financial support and professional development opportunities.

The partnership between A&L Goodbody and Maynooth University is longstanding and multifaceted, encompassing student placements, sponsorship of the EU Law Prize, and of the National Mooting Competition. In 2024, the collaboration also welcomed Dr. Vincent Power SC as an Adjunct Professor, further enhancing academic offerings at the School of Law and Criminology. These opportunities represent a milestone in the School’s dedication to promoting excellence in legal education and enhancing access to the legal profession. The scholarship programme demonstrates A&L Goodbody's and Maynooth University's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion by supporting Maynooth Access Programme students and breaking barriers to legal education for a more representative profession.
