The MU International Office is the first point of contact for international students applying for full-degree, Erasmus, Study Abroad, and Summer School programmes, and supports MU students who wish to study abroad.
Moodle is the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) used at Maynooth University. It is an online environment where students and staff interact with each other, and with learning resources for programmes and modules delivered at Maynooth. Moodle is made up of individual spaces that represent the modules being taught. There are also additional Moodle spaces for learning support and other projects and activities of the university.
For Students: Once a student is registered on a course with the university they will receive their Maynooth University (MU) login details as part of their set up and registration process.
For Staff: To access Moodle, staff require a Maynooth University username and password, which is provided by IT Services.
To login to Moodle, click the “Login Staff & Students Office 365"button. Enter your MU email address and password and click “Sign In”.
Your modules will be listed in the Course Overview Block or under My Courses. Click a module link to enter the module page. Note: Your modules will appear within 3-5 working days after you have fully registered.
Click Help on the top of the Moodle Dashboard to access the Student Help page for guidance on how to use Moodle.
The Centre for Teaching and Learning provides Moodle tutorials, and weekly Virtual Drop-In Clinics. Check the student information block at the top of your Moodle Dashboard for more info.

The Centre for Teaching and Learning TEL team provides Moodle workshops and online and in person drop-in clinics for students during Orientation and throughout the academic year.
All students are automatically enrolled in the Moodle Help for Students page. Moodle Help for Students page will appear on the My Courses list on the Moodle Dashboard and includes a range Moodle help guides and resources.
For Staff:
The Centre for Teaching and Learning TEL team provides workshops, new staff training and one-to-one consultations to support staff in using Moodle.
All staff are automatically enrolled in the Moodle Help for Staff page, which provides help guides and resources.
