Over 5,000 students benefit from MU's STEM Passport
Maynooth University, in partnership with Microsoft Ireland, Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland and the Department of Education, has published the STEM Passport for Inclusion Impact Report which reveals that over 5,000 students from disadvantaged backgrounds have participated in the initiative to date.

Graduation October 2024
We are very proud of our recent graduates from our two taught programmes. These graduates were conferred on October, 30th, 2024. A class of 26 graduates celebrated the completion of the MSc Psychology (Conversion) course. The MSc Psychology (Conversion) is an accredited degree for students who wish to become psychologists. The course fosters the methodological and critical thinking skills graduates will need for a career in Psychology. It was a joy to hear about all the wonderful ways in which the graduates from this programme are applying their knowledge – working as assistant psychologists, beginning international internships in mental health, or going on to further postgraduate study.

Minister launches MU reports on home visiting services for vulnerable families
Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth Roderic O’Gorman has launched several Maynooth University reports, setting out the findings of the first ever comprehensive review of the provision of home visiting services for families with babies and young children in Ireland.

23 MU researchers listed in World’s Top 2% Scientists Rankings
Maynooth University is strongly represented in the World’s Top 2% Scientist Rankings. This year, 23 researchers are recognised as leading experts in their fields in the rankings produced by Stanford University scientists in cooperation with publisher Elsevier BV and the SciTech Strategies Inc, based on Scopus data.

Graduation 2024
The start of September was an exciting time for the Department of Psychology with a week of graduations and celebrations. On Tuesday the 3rd of September over 200 of our Psychological Studies students graduated with a joint honours BA degree. Then, on Friday 6th both our single honours BA and BSc students received their degrees.
