Dr Maria Helen Murphy presented a new paper at the British and Irish Law Education and Technology Association’s annual conference which was hosted by the University of Hertfordshire from 10 to 12 April 2016. The title of Dr Murphy’s paper was 'Encryption as privacy messiah and public menace: an assessment after the Paris attacks'.
Dr Murphy has previously written about encryption in her article, 'Technological solutions to privacy questions: what is the role of law?' Dr Murphy lectures in Information Privacy Law, Information Technology Law, and Civil Liberties at Maynooth University Department of Law. She tweets about law and technology issues @maria_h_murphy.
