Professor Doherty Speaks at Special Symposium at Department of Labour Law and Social Security, University of Málaga

Professor Michael Doherty spoke at a special symposium at the University of Málaga’s Department of Labour Law and Social Security, which took place from 3 – 5 May 2016. The symposium was organised around the four pillars of the ILO’s Decent Work Agenda and Professor Doherty spoke on ‘Employment Creation and Decent Work’. The symposium was attended by scholars from Brasil, Portugal, Bulgaria, Malta, and Spain.
 
Professor Doherty's article ‘Emergency Exit? Collective Bargaining, the ILO and Irish Law’ was published in the European Labour Law Journal.
 
Professor Doherty is Head of Maynooth University Department of Law and lectures courses on Employment Law and Work & Employment in Europe on the LLB, as well as lecturing on the MA in Sociology (Work, Labour Markets and Employment) at Maynooth University. He is also co-author of Principles Irish Employment Law (Clarus Press).
