As a former information professional currently working in the field of management education, School of Business lecturer John Cullen has a longstanding interest in developing awareness amongst students of the importance of using quality information sources as a method of enhancing their critical thinking. Recently he has been applying Jane Mandalios' approach to helping students explore and evaluate online information sources in a number of contexts, and his exploration of this tool has just been published in the current edition of the Journal of Information Science (February 2014).
