Making friends and connections for life.

Vice-chairman and Secretary of Ógra Fianna Fáil

Maynooth itself, community feeling, the quality of the faculty, the beauty of the old college.

Analytical skills - the ability to decipher between fact and fiction. Communication skills, both verbal and written. People skills - for me, university was the first time in my life coming into contact with people from a multitude of backgrounds, it is an amazing thing.

Throw yourself into everything, get out there and get involved. It's the best time of your life, a chance of a fresh start, make the most of it as you'll spend the rest of your life wishing you could do it all again.

What do you find most interesting/challenging about your job?

No two days are the same, satisfaction in knowing you're supporting Irish businesses big and small. Deadlines are challenging but rewarding

How did you find your current job?

I enjoy it but still looking for my forever job.

What advice would you give to Maynooth University students entering the job market, either generally speaking or in regard to your specific career sector?

Don't think that the subject you chose dictates the line of work/industry you have to work in. The key thing you learn in college is not the actual course content, but the tools and skills picked up along the way. Don't focus or stress about your overall grade, I've never been asked what I got, the journey is the important thing.
